The Nunda Village Board met on October 11, 2010 for a regular meeting with the following present:

Mayor Simmons called the meeting to order at 7 PM.

ROLL CALL

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Deputy Mayor Jack Morgan entered the meeting at 7:04 PM.

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Mayor Simmons gave Privilege of the Floor to Larry Mallaber from the Nunda Fire Department. Mr. Mallaber presented the 2011/2012 Contract for signatures.

Privilege of the Floor was given to Gary Brink. Mr. Brink complimented the Board and Mayor for heading in the right direction. He inquired as to anything new on the cat issues, of which there is none at this time. Mayor Simmons stated that the Board is seeking a simple law to allow complaints to be taken without seizure of cats. Mr. Brink brought to the Board's attention that NYS is giving up dog licensing. He is concerned and feels that an enumeration needs to be conducted in order to be sure that rabies vaccinations are up to date.

Privilege of the Floor given to Bob Cox. Mr. Cox stated that he had spoken with Mayor Simmons and Zoning Officer Sal NiCastro on September 25, 2010 regarding a dead rat found in his yard. Mr. Cox feels it is a call to attention to the property maintenance of surrounding properties. Mayor Simmons stated that he filed a complaint on behalf of Mr. Cox. Additionally, Mr. Cox will file his own complaint.

MINUTES
Be it RESOLVED that the Village Board approves the meeting minutes for September 13, 2010 and September 29, 2010. Deputy Mayor Morgan made the motion, seconded by Trustee Betty McTarnaghan. Carried 5-0.

BILLS
Be it RESOLVED that the Village Board approves the bills on Abstract No. 5 for payment.
GENERAL:  $4,823.62
WATER: $3,888.01
SEWER:  $7,269.07
YOUTH:  $152.00
Deputy Mayor Morgan made the motion, seconded by Trustee McTarnaghan. Carried 5-0.

  2.  Town of Nunda Budget Report - August 2010, September 2010

Deputy Mayor Morgan confirmed with Chief Wilcox the extent of coverage provided by the NPD, which ends at the Town line bordering Portage, just beyond the Welcome to Nunda sign.

Ron Macomber entered the meeting at 7:17 PM.
